We’ve worked in a diverse set of industries to bring about shared meaning, explore some of our case studies below.
OD and Change Partner
OD and Change Partner – Government Infrastructure Administration
“Visual Meaning took time and effort to get under the bonnet of our organisation and really understand the context and meaning of what we were trying to achieve. They really are a trusted partner.”
Head of change
Head of Change, Public Sector
“We solutioned things together which was a great experience and very productive. Displaying the capability data relating to the delivery of services on the digital platform assists us in prioritising change investment both locally and nationally.”
Head of Customer and Digital, Transport Infrastructure Organisation
Head of Customer and Digital, Transport Infrastructure Organisation
“We always entered the room with a challenge and low comprehension of said challenge with poor articulation of it. When we left, not only were we feeling assured VM understood the challenge and what would be needed to solve it, but we also left feeling like we understood the challenge better.”
Senior Advisor of Safety
Senior Advisor of Safety, Engineering & Standards, Transport
“VM formulated a methodology for addressing our requirements and, at each stage of delivery, ensured we were informed and content with their solution. They presented this to senior leaders in a professional and objective manner and fielded questions appropriately and succinctly. The quality and suitability of the work produced has been excellent… Overall I couldn’t really ask for a better service.”
Senior Director, Business Transformation
Senior Director, Business Transformation
“Having some subtle visual language agreed and embedded in the visuals makes the storytelling really powerful. We did this and it has worked tremendously well.”
Senior Director, Business Transformation
Programme Director, Government Administration
“Your ability to collaborate around our product suite was useful. Being able to draw live in a collaborative environment, drawing in the workshops. Visually representing what they where hearing. Representing the ideas in the model and having a product suite that could do that, ask intelligent questions and be in part of the dialogue.”
Past Projects
Though most of our projects are not in the public domain, here are some highlights available to explore:
After finalising their strategy for 2025, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust needed to make sure the changes to this complex and socially impactful system would be understood by a large number of varied stakeholders.
We have worked with the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) for many years to create materials that help IAM members have conversations with those new to the profession in particular, making it easier to explain what it is, why it is so powerful, and what it looks like for an organisation to go on the journey towards asset management maturity.
Transforming Infrastructure Performance (TIP)
is a major government strategy document that describes a future vision for the built environment in the UK.
The UK’s 2016 EU Referendum struck us as a time when a lack of shared understanding of a complex system produced a deep social divide. For all the strong feelings, very few people seemed to have a good understanding of what the EU actually was – subjective mental models, assumptions, and fears drove a lot of the conversations and resulted in a clear lack of quality dialogue.
